Termination of activity

Thessaloniki, GR - 06th October 2026

After much thought, effort, and evaluation of our journey, it has been decided, today, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, to begin the termination of the active operations of the volunteer initiative Save Our Planet International (SOPI).

This decision comes following the significant absence of members from active participation in our work and processes, as well as the concentration of multiple tasks and responsibilities on the founder and Executive Director. This situation makes the survival and growth of the initiative increasingly difficult, as the significant lack of volunteers willing to undertake key administrative responsibilities, combined with the continuous operational demands, has led to a state of “burnout” for the ED and a small number of active members.

The official closure of operations will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with the final public announcement, the deactivation/inactivation of secondary email accounts (all emails will be forwarded to and answered through saveourplanet.international@gmail.com), the deactivation of the website and the publication of our impact report. The official website, as well as our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok), will remain inactive in order to preserve a space showcasing the history and projects of SOPI.

As its founder, SOPI has been a significant and defining chapter of my life, and its purpose and values will remain part of my life and my personal journey. I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the one-time volunteers and participants in our activities, our current and former registered members, our partners and our supporters on social media.

We started in 2020, striving through small actions that awakened at least a small part of our community, and we now close our chapter in 2026, carrying with us many valuable lessons and a positive social and environmental impact.

To Love is to Give!
